Team Lists v West End, IRL Round 14 2015

Norths take on West End in A-Grade this Sunday after our Reserve Grade and Under 19s battle Valleys Dragons. Our Second Division side take on the Eagles tomorrow.

Tim Newton was quick to tell me this week that the Tigers have won eight straight matches in A-Grade, after I mistakenly claimed 7. The Tigers lead the A-Grade competition on 22 points, 6 clear of second placed Goodna. Let’s hope Tim’s footwork and speed off the line is as quick as his social media proofing this Sunday.

West End (14 points) has overtaken Brothers (12 points) to sit in third place on the IRL ladder and after four consecutive wins will be looking to test themselves against the Tigers.

Matthew Fairhurst returns to the A-Grade side after an injury earlier in the year. “Tinks” will be looking to rip in and provide solid impact from the bench, replacing the illusive hole running second rower Stephen Kafer, who’s headed to Hawaii to propose to his beautiful girlfriend, Zoe.

It will be a great battle down at the Den so get on down and cheer on our A-Grade, Reserve Grade and Under 19 boys, and don’t forget the Second Division lads on Saturday night.

Looking ahead, there will be a massive day at Norths on Sunday 2 August as our victorious 1995 sides celebrate their 20 year reunion. Check out the Facebook event page for more details, and get down to Norths on Sunday 2 August and join the big crowd of Tigers fans cheering on our boys against Brothers!

Up the Tigers!
