North Ipswich Leagues Club Norths Seniors Ritchie’s Rant : Xmas 2013

Ritchie’s Rant : Xmas 2013

Hello once more,

I’d like to start off by wishing every member of the Tiger Family a very merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. As I mentioned in my last rant I see a very exciting year ahead for the Tigers and can’t wait to see what the New Year brings. I look forward to working with all of you to make 2013 the Year of the Tiger!

I’d like to thank all our sponsors, members, volunteers and my fellow committee members for all the support and assistance they have provided to me and the club throughout 2012. Without all you contribute we wouldn’t be where we are today. Thank You.

The end of the year has snuck up on all of us very rapidly so some of the meetings I was hoping to have before Christmas will now have to be arranged for the New Year. I apologise for the delay.

On a more positive note, tonight we had our last club run of 2012, with just one more U18’s training session Friday night before the club breaks until the New Year. We’ve been getting good numbers rolling up for pre-season and the boys have all been working hard for each other and the coaching staff. Yet more new faces have been appearing which is a great sign Norths is a club people want to be a part of.

We are planning a few events to help bring everyone together before the season starts in early April. We have the annual Palmers Vs Handbrakes cricket match on Saturday, which is always entertaining, and are just finalising plans for a fun Australia Day weekend. Following on through February and March we will have our trial matches and a season launch event. More details of all these events will come as they are confirmed.

We’re also launching our Blue and Gold Club in the coming weeks which will consist of 100 memberships with 5 monthly draws from March to July and a prize pool each month of $1000 worth of prizes. Details will be posted in the club house and I will include contact and contest details in my next rant.

All in all it’s been a good year with a great one ahead, a year in which football will finally return to Tiger Town. I can’t wait for it and hope to see you all there soon.

Lastly, once more, I’d like to wish a very merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and yours. May the holiday season bring you much joy and happiness and may the year ahead be full of good fortune.

Up The Mighty Norths Tigers!

Shane Ritchie
