Hello all,
After a disappointing weekend against Swifts, with our Under 18s our sole victors, the boys will look to bounce back against the Bulldogs this weekend.
All of our sides are still in contention with only 4 rounds remaining of the 2013 Season, although Reserve Grade will now be walking a tightrope as they need to pick up a couple of games to give themselves a chance at fourth spot.
C Grade finally get a chance to get back on the park after a very disjointed month of football. Byes have done them no favours (thankfully we won’t have any more) and they will look to return to the winner’s circle on Saturday afternoon at The Oval. It would be great to have a bit of a turn out for the C Grade boys as they have been great this year at staying back to cheer our other sides on from the Can Bar.
Sunday of course sees our A Grade, Reserve Grade and Under 18 sides take on the Bulldogs at Norths. The Doggies are sure to be desperate to scrape together their first win and our boys will need to ensure they turn up to play. They put up a spirited effort for the first 40 minutes last time we clashed.
Sunday also sees our annual Norths Vs West End Old Boys bowls day. All are welcome to come along and enjoy a relaxed morning of barefoot bowls at the North Ipswich Bowls Club before having lunch and heading down to Cribb Park for our three games. The cost is only $20 and includes all greens fees, lunch and entry into the lucky prize draws. Anybody who would like to play just needs to rock up to the bowls club by 10am for a 10.30 start. It’s a great way to spend a Sunday.
