Hi all, Thanks for the support against Brothers last week truly awesome. We had to go back to the mid 1990’s for the last time we beat Brothers in all three grades at their home ground. What a difference 4 weeks can make both on and off the field, numbers have increased so much we are looking at putting in a 2nd Division so all players can get a run.
No fixtures this weekend due to representative footy, we have 8 players running around in the under 20’s and A Grade Ipswich Diggers against Brisbane this Saturday. Our next game is against Fassifern Sunday 6th at Harrisville, it will be a great test for us as we strive to improve from week to week.
Our fields are currently being turfed (although as I write this the rain starts to tumble down) and we expect to be playing our first home game back at the Den since August 2010. This game will be against West end on weekend 25th – 27th May So be prepared to come on down and have a great time.
To coincide with being back at the Den for 2012 we are offering home game sponsorship packages for our seven games that will be played at North’s this year. The old Boys are having a reunion this year to celebrate the 1982 and 1987 premierships winning sides this will be held at North’s on Saturday 14th July starting at 4.pm with a sit down meal at 6.30pm, costs to follow. This event is for all players and supporters in those years as the old boys look to have a reunion every year for different sides.
