Hi all,
No Games this week due to Ipswich Cup, this is the last break for the players until finals time so I hope they enjoy their time off. Next week we play Fassifern at the North Ipswich Reserve on Saturday afternoon/evening 23rd June. All four grades will be playing after the state schoolboys carnival which is occurring all weekend at the Oval.
On a disappointing note, it is looking more than likely we will not be at home this year, council has informed me that the fields will need to be top dressed before we can play on them. While this is making life difficult for all concerned, we need to make the best of what we have got. We will be looking at having our sponsors day against Brothers in 6 weeks’ time and the IRL have allowed us to use the conference centre which will be a great venue to watch footy and socialise throughout the day.
