North Ipswich Leagues Club Norths Seniors Haug’s Breath: IRL Round 5

Haug’s Breath: IRL Round 5

Footy Time again, this weekend we travel to Goodna on Sunday in all grades from C Grade to A Grade, its great to have four teams running around this weekend and at the same venue.

Training numbers in the lower grades have been great with C Grade having about 25 players at training Thursday Night. A & Reserve Grade numbers were a little low due to representative and work commitments, while under 18’s have three players on Met West Duty. We have five players playing Diggers this Saturday night and hopefully they come through fully fit to back up on Sunday.

Next week is our home game against West End in all grades and Rosewood in C Grade. Unfortunatly this game will be played at the North Ipswich Reserve as our grass has just been laid at North’s with at least a month to six weeks before we can play on it. This is due to how the grass was laid, the time it was laid and the fact we have had a frost already.

On the clubhouse front, we have been lucky to get assistance from Challenge employment with some of their clients painting the clubhouse exterior and cleaning up around the can bar, much appreciated.

The solar panels should be finished this week and when connected will approximatly halve or electricity bill each month. Thanks must go to Cheryl Jendrachowski who applied for this grant over 12 months ago. XXXX will have installed beer lines to the downstairs bar today allowing us to have more functions while reducing wastage and time with moving kegs around, thanks must go to the Old Boys for their assistance in this venture.

Last but not least we have a great meal deal on at the club, check out the web site and see Jade for this great special. If you know of anybody else who would like to receive this update each week send me their email address and I will add them in.
