Hello again one and all,
Congratulations to all of our boys on their strong showings this weekend, with the club taking the two points in three of our four grades.
Our A Grade side returned to the winners circle in a hard fought win over Fassifern 20-18. I know I could hardly watch the last ten minutes of such a tight tussle, as they somehow always seem to be against the Bombers. While getting the two points was fantastic the job ahead will only get tougher as we take on a strong Swift’s side at Cribb Park on Harry Langer Day this Sunday the 2nd of June.
Reserve Grade went down in yet another agonisingly close match against Fassifern as they let a great opportunity slip and went down 34-32. This was a much improved performance on last week and there is still plenty of improvement left in the boys. Swifts will be a good test this weekend to see if the lads can continue to improve.
Under 18s had another good win running out 50-16 winners against West End. Mick’s boys all seem to be gelling well together and travelling along quite nicely. It was fantastic to see the entire squad hang around to watch the Reserve and A Grade games on Sunday before enjoying a team dinner compliments of our Norths Old Boys Association.
Our C Grade side Enjoyed another win in their top of the table clash Saturday night at Lowood. Norths came away winner 38-30 and have now moved to top spot on the Open 2’s ladder. With three teams equal on points, for and against has the Tigers with their nose in front. Congratulations boys but the work is still ahead of us as it will take a big effort to maintain our position.
