2015 CUB SQUAD
(Munchkin League)
In 2015, Norths Juniors will conducting. ‘CUB SQUAD‘. This is initiative was introduced by the club last year to give young children an introduction to the great game of Rugby League & was proven to be a great success.
Sign on will be on Friday 24th April 4:30 to 5:30pm, bring your boots & a water bottle, as you will join in for the first Training Session after your Insurance is paid.
Below is a brief overview of what the Squad entails.
- For children aged between 3-5 years. Child must have turned 3 by March 1st 2015.
- The squad will run for approximately 10 weeks (excluding school holidays), training every Friday afternoon, with the final session in July on a date yet to be confirmed.
- Sessions will be held on Friday afternoons from 4.30pm – 5.30pm at Norths Cribb Park, Pelican St North Ipswich.
- Cost will be $40 all inclusive. Players will receive a free training shirt as well as a sign on pack.
- The program is designed around teaching children the basic skills of catching, passing, running and general rules of Rugby League in order to give them a headstart into Under 6s. Sessions within this squad are NON-CONTACT, they are skill based only.
- Qualified coaches will be conducting these sessions, however some parental assistance would be greatly appreciated. If any parents are interested in coaching, managing etc in future years, this is a great way to learn and become accredited early on.
