Weekend wrap: Round 4

The weekend’s fixtures against Fassifern Bombers was a mixed bag for the Tigers with A-grade and C grade going down while Reserve Grade and Under 18s continued their hot run of form.

In A-grade the Tigers came back after being 10-0 down in the opening 8 minutes to lead the game. In a high scoring affair the Tigers looked to win the game with 6 minutes remaining after a Josh Roberts field goal made the score 31-30. Fassifern were strong out wide however and scored a try with 3 minutes remaining and as the Tigers tried an all or nothing play Fassifern pounced again to win 40-31.

In Reserve Grade Norths survived a Bombers comeback late in the game to win 26-24. The Reserve Grade side is now 3-1 this year after remaining undefeated since their narrow loss in round one.

Our undefeated Under 18s side defeated Redbank Plains 42-12. The Under 18s team is looking good this year with some exciting talent coming through the Tigers senior ranks.

Our C-grade side in their first match were defeated 62-4. In the side’s first hit out there is plenty of room for improvement the team had limited training as a group in the lead up.
