Another test awaits our A-Grade team this week as we take on Fassifern in front of their own vocal crowd this Sunday.
Reserve Grade and Under 19s also take on the Bombers, while our Second Division side takes on Cobras and our Open Women’s team take on Souths after the Ipswich Jets game on Saturday.
Coming into last weekend’s game against Goodna, our A-Grade boys were tied for second with the Eagles and just 2 points behind ladder leaders Fassifern. A 26-14 loss has resulted in Goodna claiming second spot outright while Fassifern remain two points further clear on top.
A-Grade coach Anthony “Nobby” O’Brien knew these two weeks would really test the side, especially away from home, and the boys will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointment with a strong showing against the ladder leaders.
Reserve Grade and Under 19s will play before A-Grade on Sunday, while our Second Division team is in action at Redbank at 12pm. Our Open Women’s side takes on Souths at the North Ipswich Reserve on Saturday, so get out and support our great club if you can.
